Although drone deliveries have customer and business incentives, for drone deliveries to be widely adopted, it must suffice safety regulations. Lowering a parcel is a promising mode; however, it is limited by the region’s fliability. A control system was developed to alleviate environmental constraints by reducing its oscillation. Prototype reduced settling time from ~30 s to ~10 s.

Theoretical system can settle less than 10 s, but angular momentum generated by the motor induces an elliptical oscillation. Motors must be reorientated to generate a moment arm to control unwanted induced oscillations.
